This Sprint is a live peek behind the curtain at some of the excellent learning delivery that our Data apprentices receive, while also being applicable to your own roles.

Our Head of Curriculum for Data, Sean Rafter, will demonstrate how to use Excel to find patterns in data, and how to visualise those patterns to help communicate with stakeholders.

Speakers

Sean graduated from University with a Chemistry Degree in 2002 and went to work for Chep as a junior account manager looking after key accounts such as Coca Cola Enterprises, in 2005 Sean joined Greater Manchester Police as an intelligence analyst working on Low Level and Serious and Organised crime in south Manchester. In 2009 Sean was promoted to Senior Analyst and led the Forces Strategic Threat Assessment. In 2010 Sean moved Forces to British Transport Police (BTP) as a Performance & Analysis Manager, in 2016 Sean became BTP's 1st Civilian Intelligence Manager and performed that role until leaving to join Firebrand in 2019.

Since joining Firebrand Sean has performed the role of a Subject Matter Expert in Data and has recently moved into a Head of Curriculum role covering both Data and Business Analysis. Whilst Sean's career has varied over the years the one constant has been the use of data to facilitate more informed decision making.
